Re: the people who ask you to do their homework--this is literally why librarians and libraries were invented, to help you find good sources. Not that libraries/librarians are always great re: power stuff, but whenever I see these kinds of people, I want to smack them and say "go to your library, ask a librarian." Hell, IM your librarian, it's the 21st century.

there’s so much good stuff out there about islamophobia in general, and the middle east in particular. I find it impossible to believe that you “are having a hard time finding anything”. Google? Looking through the blog that you have sent an ask to — also called scrolling?
I am always amazed when people ask me such requests. Like, dude, I am not sitting by the computer 24 hrs waiting to do research for random people on the internet. what is this?
As admirably altruistic as it sounds, the problem with voluntourism is its singular focus on the volunteer’s quest for experience, as opposed to the recipient community’s actual needs.
