as a fellow brown person, i highly encourage people to take anthropology courses in highschool and as well as university or college. Having SLD (student led discussion) assignments are a perfect way for you to speak about problematic topics like cultural appropriation and black/brown/yellow/redfacing. it's worth it.

I think generally learning and discussing is always a good thing.
But also critically thinking about the larger oppressive systems that inform the context of that education seems pretty vital to me also. Just saying.
